On Friday 30th June our amazing ECO team held a special GREEN DAY at school. In the months beforehand they planned games and activities, wrote the script for a whole school assembly and created a movie to help pupils understand the things that they can do to help look after our planet.
The following video was presented to the school at the assembly on the 30th. On that day children were asked to come to school wearing something ‘green’. The result was tremendous; everyone joined in with the spirit of the event by taking part in the ECO Orienteering Challenge and having a go at the games at lunch time. During the day the children were awarded bottle tops for taking part in the activities and the two top classes were given extra time on our trim trail and infant play area.
The day was a huge success. We hope for it to be an annual event to help everyone understand and feel that we are all responsible for looking after this amazing planet that we live upon.
