  • If your child is interested in Classical Music have a look at some of the amazing graphical scores on the internet:
eg type 'graphical score moonlight sonata' in to your search engine and watch the video. Please be aware that adverts might come up.
  • There are lots of resources for children on CBBC here are some children's games and quizzes https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/curations/cbbc-music-quizzes . There is an amusing History of Music video.
  • If your child is interested in composing their own piece try this idea. No instruments are needed. https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/music-ks3-composing-a-piece-of-music-using-unpitched-percussion/zfdmpg8
  • The Ten Pieces website is a treasure trove for music. You can watch child friendly versions of classical pieces and then try some of the activities yourself. For example: play a piece to your children and ask them to draw a picture of what they think the music is representing. This is suitable for Reception, KS1 and KS2 children.
Keep singing!
