Through a cyber-tour of the Ashmolean Museum, children researched Anglo Saxon brooches, designed one for Beowulf and made it out of modelling clay. They also learned about the art of Illuminated Letters in Anglo Saxon texts, designed their own and reproduced them both in watercolor and as a printed tile.
Josh – “I liked finding out about the brooches an Anglo Saxon thane would have had”.
Kaidi – “Carving a tile and printing my illuminated letter was fun”.
Olivia – “Beowulf , the book, is FULL of adventures”.
