1st September 2019

“Stay and Play” celebrated its 10th Anniversary.

Wonderful news, Stay and Play at Newburgh Primary School celebrated its 10th Anniversary with Miss Hilary in charge with a fabulous party on Tuesday 24th September. Stay and Play offers younger children with their parents, grandparents or carers the chance to develop their social skills before joining primary school. There are always an inspiring range of activities on offer and a sing-song to encourage your children join in with.

Four Year 6 children (Eleanor, Jake, Poppy and Savannah) from Newburgh Primary School conducted interviews during the party to discover the appeal of Stay and Play.

Emma, a dedicated grandmother said, “I’ve been here for a long time and I have brought my grand-daughter here since she was three months old. I recommend it, especially to new Mums who may feel isolated.”

Hattie, aged 3 stated, “I have so much fun. It has got lots of things to do. I made a party hat and had a tea party. It’s amazing! “

Becky, a parent commented, “It’s such a friendly environment and all the staff are so kind. It is really nice being part of the community. They have lots of different activities to offer.”

Emma says, “Stay and Play is a great place, children mix together which helps with their social skills and helps them feel at ease when they start school. The staff are all so welcoming, they know lots of different topics and the children learn about nutritious food.”

Every Tuesday morning Stay and Play opens its doors to the community and welcomes our younger generation. It is a great place to meet new people and enjoy time together.
