Warwick Lights of Love

1st December 2020

Here at Warwick Rotary Club we have been unable to meet in person, or run any of our fundraising events since March, but continue to meet weekly on Zoom, details on our website and Facebook.
We lost the Town Bonfire, Thai Festival, Carols at the Castle and many other events which has hit our income hard.

We have used our reserves to fund the Foodbank, and other local charities such as Evelyn's Gift, funded the Scrubbers and groups sending Food Parcels to families needing them and I know many schools have been helping too.

The good news is that we have decided to finance the School Dictionaries for year 4 next year!

We also felt it was important to run our Lights of Love Campaign in Warwick Market square with cards remembering those we have lost, and this year all proceeds will go to the Myton Hospices.

I am attaching a leaflet so that you can put a card of remembrance on the tree if you would like.

Coupons can be returned to the Post Office, Torreys, Claridge's or the Tourist office using the letterbox in Castle street or by post. Staff there are also taking credit cards over the phone on 492212.

We will continue to support the community as long as we can and hope that the new year brings us all renewed prosperity.

Best wishes to you all and Christmas wishes,
Jackie Crampton
Secretary
