17th July 2022
Dear parents/carers,
We again find ourselves in unprecedented times, with a red heat warning now in place for Monday and Tuesday. .
In view of the rising predicted temperatures and the red warning in place for Monday and Tuesday, we will make the following further adaptions to our procedures with the children:
The children will be given the choice to wear loose fitting light-weight and cool clothes, rather than school uniform. Please ensure clothing is suitable for school wear eg no strapless tops or midriffs showing.
Parents will be given the option of collecting their children from 1:15pm. Please come to the front office for Y3,4, 5 and 6 to sign them out and the Pastoral entrance for Reception , Y1 and 2.
On Monday, 18th July, Y6 performances to the school are cancelled.
On Tuesday 19th July the Y6 performance to parents will be cancelled.
On Wednesday 20th July at 9:15am the Y6 will do their performance to parents combined with their trophy assembly ( We may move to the sports hall for the presentations)
Breaks: All children will have their breaks indoors. We have extra ice lollies arriving in the morning that children may eat at break.
Lunches: All children will have lunch in their usual halls and then return to their classrooms. There will be no outside playtime during lunch as this is the hottest part of the day. All classrooms to have film/video playing and colouring, mindful tasks or board games.Kind regards,
